Rolaids Recall

If you have any Rolaids Softchews products in your stockpile you are going to want to check out this recall here.  McNeil Consumer Healthcare is recalling certain Rolaids due to foreign materials in the product (metal and wood particles).

McNeil Children's Medicine Recall

There's a recall issued 4/30/10 on children's medicines from McNeil Consumer Healthcare.  Check here to see if you have some of these prodcuts in your medicine cabinet or stockpile.

HUGE Product Recall - Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein

There's a food recall right now with products containing HVP - Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein.  The list is HUGE with 153 entries as of March 11, 2010.  You can check out the FDA Recall information here.  This link contains information regarding the recall as well as a complete up to date listing of products. 

Hopefully you don't have any of these products in your pantry, but if you do I highly recommend contacting the parent company regarding your products.  It's highly likely that they will reimburse you for the product and/or send you coupons for replacement of the product. 

Kroger product recall - onion soup mix

*UPDATE* McNeil Product Recall

If you have any of the products that were part of the product recall that I wrote about here I would encourage you to send an e-mail to McNeil with the products that you have on hand.  I realized that I had 5 boxes of the Tylenol 8 Hour from a Walgreens deal in my cabinet so I took a couple minutes to e-mail the company asking how I go about getting reimbursed for my product. 

Today I received an e-mail telling me that they will be sending a reimbursement for these and I should dispose of the product.  If you have any of these products and you contact them (you will find the link in my original post) make sure you include your address in your correspondence.  Be prepared to wait a few days for a response from the company.  I sent my original inquiry to them on 1/18 but I didn't hear back from them until 1/29.  I am sure with so many products included in this recall they are swamped with questions and requests.

McNeil Product Recall

I wanted to make note of a recent product recall just incase you were not aware of it already.  This recall is pretty extensive and covers several products such as Tylenol, Rolaids, Motrin, Benadryl, Simply Sleep and St. Joseph.  These are all products that have been part of our deals in the past so you just might have some in your stockpile.  I checked the list and sure enough I had some of the Tylenol 8 HR.  For a complete list and information about this recall you can go directly to the McNeil website here.
