Kroger/Hilander Body Wash MM's!

My frugal friend Tara wanted to share this with everyone, this deal works with some coupons that expire on 7/31 so you will have to hurry on this one!

Tara writes:

So, we all don't need any more men's body wash, but here are 2 MM's at Hilander...

Buy 4 Gilette BW at $2.99 each
Get $4 off for buying 4
Use 2 B1G1 coupons (this will either take off the $2.99 or or $4.29 the non card price)
Use 2 $2/1 coupons
This will be at least a $2 MM

Buy 4 Old Spice BW at $2.99 each
Get $4 off for buying 4
Use 2 B1G1 coupons (this again will take off either $2.99 or $3.27)
Use 2 $1/2 coupons
Load $2/2 OS onto card
Load $1/2 OS onto card (both will come off because there is 4 items)
Again at least a $3 MM

Be sure to have enough to cover the overage in your cart especially if they give you the non card price for the B1G1's. These coupons expire 7/31!

Thanks, Tara!!

8/1 Coupon Preview

Oh my!  Is it August already?  Where did July go?

I want to point out that there are going to be 4...yes, 4 coupon inserts in this Sunday's newspapers.  There will be 1 P & G, 1 SmartSource and 2 RedPlum!  Surely a weekend to get out and buy extra newspapers.

You can see all the details of what is to be included right over on the sidebar.

I am really hoping that with more coupons, this means that the deals will start to pick up too - I remember my first Catalina experience at Jewel almost exactly one year ago, and it was a good one...ahh, the fond memories!  As summer winds down and the kids get back to school the sales should start to improve.  Grab some extra inserts so you can rebuild your stockpile!

And, since it's the end of the month, don't forget to check Coupons.com, Redplum.com and Smartsource.com for printables because some may no longer be available after the first of next month.

Woodman's 7/29

Here's a few Woodman's (Rockford store) finds for 7/29:

I'll start out my post in the liquor department, since that's always where I start my shopping trips to Woodman's.  I always scan through the bottles for WT's before I do my shopping because I usually score coupons that I can use on my groceries.

I wanted to treat my husband to some nice cold beer for the weekend - he loves to have one or two while he's cooking on the grill.  I checked over in the beer refrigerators on the far back wall where I found Leinenkugel's beer with a special right now, if you purchase Leinenkugel's beer you get a FREE brick of cheese - yes, I know, VERY odd combination.  They had bricks of cheddar, colby and pepper jack cheese in a box right next to the beer and you get one FREE cheese for each box of beer that you purchase.  After I grabbed my beer and scanned the aisles for WT's (yes, I did find some good ones!) I got in line to check out.  At the check out lines there's a small freezer with Johnsonville brats and Italian sausage packages.  On each of these packages was a coupon for $2.00 off when you purchase Leinenkugel's beer (6 pack or larger).  So, I grabbed one brat and one sausage to go with each of the two 12 packs of beer that I was purchasing.  What a great deal this was!  Beer + FREE cheese + cheap brats/sausages= one happy husband!!

Next I headed in to the groceries where I found an awesome deal on strawberries, no coupon needed.  They had a table in the aisle of the produce department with 1 pound packages of strawberries for .69 each!  That was such a great deal that I actually had to stop an employee and ask him if the sign was correct!  There was another display of strawberries that were 2/$5 so watch that you grab the correct ones.  There was nothing wrong with these berries so I am not sure why they were marked down so low.

Small bottles of Frank's Red Hot hot sauce are .89 at Woodman's, use the $1.00 off coupon from 7/25 SS to get these FREE and if you pick the right cashier you will get some overage on this one.

Gold 'n Plump family packs (3.5 lbs each) of thighs and drumsticks are on sale for $3.99 right now, these are huge packages and this in itself is a pretty great price, but if you check out the liquor department before you head in to get groceries you can find a WT (I only took two so there's many of these on the shelf!) for $1.00 off chicken making these $2.99 a package .  I love to boil the whole package and freeze it to cook on the grill later - makes life easier at dinner time.

One other WT that you will want to keep an eye out for is $1.00 off any bread or deli purchase of $2.00 or more.  This one came in handy today since I was purchasing lunch meats anyway.

I also found some hang tags on 2L Sierra Mist bottles.  This coupon was for a FREE 2L bottle of Sierra Mist WYB two bags of Cheetos.  I grabbed a couple of these for later when there's a great sale.

That's all for my deals at Woodman's this week, I didn't have a whole lot of time to shop since today was my errand day, but I am happy with my frugal finds!

Graveyardmall Deal of the Day - Sunglasses!

By this time of the year,  your sunglasses have probably taken a beating from all the wear and tears of summer.  GraveyardMall has Women's and Men's sunglasses on clearance right now at the great price of $9.99 for 9 pairs.

Just go here and then click on "See the Deal".  You will be directed right to the page with the sunglasses.  Shipping is $5.99 for one set, but if you want both Women's and Men's your shipping would only be an additional $1.00 for both.

I ordered these back at the beginning of summer and I love them!  The quality is high and shipping was speedy fast.  I highly recommend this deal if you are in need of some shades right now.  If you don't need 9 pairs, why not see if you can share them with a friend or two to split the cost?

Jewel Promo 7/29 thru 8/4

On Thursday there's a new promo running at Jewel.  Purchase $30 in participating P & G products and receive a coupon at the Catalina machine to redeem for $10 off your next Gift Card Mall purchase.

I have the UPC list for this promo, send me a note if you are interested and I will e-mail it to you.

You may be able to combine this promo with the Olay $20 Rebate I posted about here.  There are some Olay products included.

Since this doesn't start until tomorrow it's hard to say how this one is going to work.  You should  be able to take that Catalina that prints out and go grab any gift card that Jewel sells and have it activated at the register with your coupon.  If this is the case, Jewel gift cards should be included in this promo, which means then you could turn around and use it to do another P & G gift card deal.  The nice thing about this, if it works this way, is that these don't expire like regular Catalina coupons do!  You could hold onto these gift cards for as long as you like.

***NOTE: 7/29 - It has been reported that Jewel gift cards are specifically excluded from this promo!***

If you try this one out, let me know how it works out for you.  If I read any news on the blogs on how this one is working, or if I try it myself, I will report back.

Cheap Covergirl @ Target

My frugal friend Melissa pointed out a great deal on Covergirl at Target that she wanted to share with you.

These are the coupons you will need:
1 - $1 off any Covergirl product from 7/4 PG
1 - Buy any mascara get an eye enhancer eyeshadow free 7/4 PG
1 - $1 off Covergirl Target store coupon 7/11 RP (some inserts did not have this Q)

Target has select Covergirl mascara for $3.24 each so any of these will work.

1 - $3.24 CG mascara
1 - CG eyeshadow

Use all coupons listed above and your total will be .24 after stacking the store coupon with the manufacturer coupons!

Great find, Melissa!

A Better Softsoap Deal!

My frugal friend Melissa pointed out to me today that there's a better way to use the .50 off Softsoap coupons I posted about here in my Wags deals of the week.  She reported that Softsoap is on sale at Kroger/Hilander for $1.00 each this week.  Using the .50 off coupon you will get these FREE because the coupon will double to $1.00!  There's also a .35 coupon in the 7/25 SS that would double to .70 making these .30 each.  A big Thanks to Melissa for letting me know!

I also noted that Wal-mart has the Softsoap for .98 each.  The coupon won't double, but you will get these for .48 each there.  Also better than the Walgreens deal.

I don't get the Kroger/Hilander sale flyer in my area so it's hard for me to keep up with the great deals there  -  I appreciate all my frugal friends reporting in!

School Supplies Catalina Promo at Kroger/Hilander

My frugal friend Tara has reported in on the current school supply Catalina running at Kroger/Hilander.  She reported that the Catalina is printing based on the pre-sale price, not the Plus card price.  That means that this Catalina is working just as all Catalina promos work at Jewel stores - get to the $ threshold by adding the shelf price rather than the Plus card price!  Here's the details:

Running 7/11/10 thru 8/21/10
Get $2 OYNO wyb $10
Get $4 OYNO wyb $20+

Brands included:
--Expo
--PaperMate
--Mead
--Sharpie
--Crayola
--Avery
--Five Star
--Uni-Ball

Participating school supplies items on sale this week:
Crayola Crayons (24 ct.), $0.25
Paper Mate Pens (10 ct.), $0.33
Crayola Classic Markers (10 ct.), $1

Tara was able to get 10 boxes of Crayons for $2.50 and then she received a $4.00 OYNO Catalina back - $1.50 MM!  Then in another transaction she purchased 6 boxes of Crayola Markers for $6.00 and then received a $4.00 OYNO Cat back - $2.00 for 6 boxes of markers or .34 each!

At these prices, why not consider picking up some extras for your local school supply drive to help out those less fortunate?

Remember that the Mega Event is continuing this week so don't forget to check my post here for some of the great deals you can find!

New Olay Rebate

There's another great Olay rebate available.  Go here to print a form for a $20 rebate with the purchase $50 in Olay facial moisturizers, cleansers or treatments.  All purchases must be made by September 3, 2010.   Rebate submissions must be postmarked by September 17, 2010.

Now go work your magic and find a great sale and coupons to use for this submission! :)  Don't forget about the three $5 off coupons in the P & G Year of Savings coupon booklet.

Jewel: Ice Cream Catalina 8/5 thru 8/11

Here comes another ice cream Catalina!  This Catalina alert came out of the Catalina machine at Jewel so I am not sure if this one is a national Catalina or just specific to Jewel.  The details are the same as the past two ice cream Catalinas:

Get a $4 Catalina OYNO when you buy $12 worth of any of the products listed below between 8/5 - 8/11:

Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream or Ice Cream Bars - any size
EDY'S Branded Products - any size
EDY'S Fruit Bars - any size
DIB'S Bite Sized Frozen Snacks - any size
NESTLE DRUMSTICK Frozen Dairy Dessert Cones - any size
ESKIMO PIE Frozen Dairy Dessert Bars - any size
THE SKINNY COW Frozen Treats - any size
FROSTY PAWS Frozen Treats for Dogs - 4pk

Not familiar with shopping at Jewel?  Read through my post here and you will be ready to tackle shopping at Jewel!

(Catalina info courtesy of CW!)

Walgreens 7/25 thru 7/31

Not much going on at Wags again this week!  Here's what was on my list:

Softsoap liquid hand soap, $2.49 each/B1G1F
use TWO .50 printable coupons here and get TWO for $1.49 or .75 each
(not the best deal on liquid hand soap but we use a ton of this in our house!)

3M Command hooks or picture hanging strips, 2/$3.00
use TWO $1.00 off coupons from here and take these home for .50 each (this is a .pdf coupon so grab as many of these as you will need - unlimited print!)

Pilot Easy Touch Pens, .99
use this $1.00 off coupon to get these FREE (with .01 overage)

.75 off ALL YOU Printable Coupon

All You magazine sent me a .75 off printable coupon to share with my frugal friends.  This coupon can be used on one issue of All You magazine purchased off the magazine rack (not to be used for subscriptions).  This coupon has a nice long expiration date - the one I printed expires 10/24/2010 and  I was able to print it twice per computer.  Even if you already get a subscription to All You, you might want to consider printing this coupon - sometimes the coupons are so good in the magazine that it's worth it to purchase an extra one or two issues.   I believe this magazine is $2.24 at Wal-mart, so the coupon would bring the price down to $1.52 an issue.

If you want this coupon, send me a note with your e-mail address because I have to forward it to you.

End of Month - Printables & High Value Huggies Coupon

It's getting close to the end of the month and that means that there will be new printable coupons out soon on Coupons.com, Redplum.com and SmartSource.com.  Make sure you check and see if there's any good ones that you need - you don't want to miss out!

While I was snooping around at Coupons.com I noticed a $3.00 Huggies diapers coupon (60 count or larger) using zip code 90210.  This is a high value coupon that might go away at the end of the month.  Print it now if you need it!  Don't forget you can print it twice per computer too.

Different zip codes offer different coupons so you might want to put in a couple different zip codes and see what you come up with - you might be surprised!

Reminder: Rebate Deadline - Swiffer Refill Rebate

If you are submitting a rebate request for the Swiffer Refill Rebate the envelope needs to be postmarked by 7/30/10.  I didn't make it to the $20 threshold for this rebate so if there's anyone out there that could use my receipt toward the rebate I would be happy to give it to you.  My one lonely receipt has $4.99 in Swiffer refills so if you are just a little short this may help you out.  The receipt goes to the first person to contact me.  You can leave a comment, e-mail, call or text me.

Update: Capri Sun Catalina

I discovered today, by trial and error, that the Capri Sun Sunrise products are NOT part of the national Catalina for Capri Sun.  This means that you won't be able to use those $1.00 coupons from the shelf at Woodmans that I mentioned in my previous post about Hilander/Kroger.  Only certain flavors and varieties are part of the Catalina promo so watch for the little white Catalina promo tags when you are buying these.   I haven't run across a UPC list for this promo, but if I do I will update this post.

Olay Regenerist Rebate Deal

Last night, while I was watching TV and organizing my coupon binder I ran across some coupons that will make the Olay Regenerist Rebate Deal at Wal-mart a bigger MM.  Here's my original post:

"Then there's an Olay deal that I snagged today. Some Olay Regenerist products are $6.27 at Wal-mart. Grab three $6.27 Regenerist cleansers (facial wipes or squeeze tubes) and then any three other Olay cleansers. Use three $3.00 off one Olay Regenerist Facial Moisturizer or Cleanser from 7/4 PG and three BOGO Olay facial cleanser (up to $6.99) from 7/11 SS. The total for this comes to $9.81 (tax not included) and then you can submit for this $10 Olay rebate. FREE Olay!"

To really rock this deal you could substitute  the three $5.00 off any Olay Regenerist FC/FM coupons that are in the P & G Year of Savings coupon booklet for the $3.00 coupons in my post above.  Using these three would have you pay $3.81 OOP for all those products above and then you could submit for the $10 Olay Rebate.  Turns it into a $6.19 MM!  One of these coupons expires on 7/31 so if you are going to grab this one you have to do it soon to get the most for your money.

I already did this deal with the $3.00 coupons so I missed the boat on this one, but I hope you can still take advantage of it!

Hilander/Kroger Mega Event thru 7/28

Since the Hilander/Kroger Mega Event continues again this week thru 7/28 I wanted to point out a few really great deals that I scored there.  I took advantage of the Mega Event and the current Kraft national Catalina promo to double dip for some FREE and really cheap products.  If you want to check out the weekly ad online just go here.   You can also check out the previous post from my frugal friend Tara right here

Philadelphia Cream Cheese is .99 when you purchase 10 participating Mega Event items.  There's a $1.00 off printable coupon at Real Women of Philadelphia when you sign up (look in the lower right corner of the screen after sign-up).  Buy 5 of these, along with 5 other participating products, and use as many coupons as you can print.  With 5 coupons you turn these into a .05 MM and then you get a $5.00 OYNO Kraft Catalina back! That's a total of $5.05 MM on this one!  Repeat as many times as needed, but remember, you will only get one $5.00 OYNO Kraft Cat per transactions so break this out into separate transactions.  This Catalina rolls so you can use the $5.00 that printed on your previous transaction to pay to lower you OOP even more.

Kraft Cheeses are $1.88 when you purchase 10 participating Mega Event items.   Right in front of the cheese in the dairy section there's a blinkie machine with coupons on these cheeses for $1.00 off TWO.  Pick up 6 various cheeses and grab three of the blinkies.  The total for these would be $8.28 after three coupons and then you get a $5.00 OYNO Kraft Catalina.  That makes these 6 cheeses $3.28 or .55 a package - definitely a stock up price.  If you roll your Catalina from the Philadelphia Cream Cheese deal above your OOP is even less - $3.28 OOP and you would get back a $5 OYNO Cat.  Cheese freezes perfectly fine so don't be shy - get enough for at least 12 weeks!

Tombstone pizza's are $1.99 when you purchase 10 participating Mega Event items.  Grab the $2.00 off coupon over at Facebook and these are a .01 MM!  Print this coupon as many times as you can, try logging into your FB account on another computer and you might be able to print it twice again.

Totino's pizza rolls and Pillsbury Toaster Strudel are also part of the Mega Event and a good price.  Totino's are $1.99 after 10 participating items and there's a .40 off TWO coupon in the 5/30 GM that doubles to .80 off TWO and Toaster Strudel are $1.49 after 10 items with a .55 off TWO coupon from 5/16 S that doubles to $1.10 off TWO.

Don't forget about the national Catalina promo running on Capri Sun right now.  These ARE NOT part of the Mega Event or the Kraft Catalina promo but they are a really great deal at Hilander/Kroger, especially if you scored some of those $1.00 off Capri Sun Sunrise coupons from Woodmans when they had them taped to the shelf.  These are priced at $1.93 a box.  Pick up 4 boxes, use 4 coupons and pay $3.72 and get a $3.00 OYNO Catalina back.  That's 4 boxes of Capri Sun for .72!  Another stock up price for sure!   (Before you try this one out make sure you read my post here for additional info about this promo)

If you are heading to Hilander/Kroger, why not give my new print feature a try to make your list.  Just click the Print Friendly button at the bottom of this post and edit it to fit your needs.  I'd love to hear feedback on how it works for you.

Post-It Brand Printable Coupons

Here's some printable coupons for Post-It brand products just in time for back- to- school stock up.  The older I get the more I need these little sticky notes!  :)  We don't see coupons for Post-It too often so you will want to jump on this one.  These coupons are in .pdf format so I highly recommend you save the document to your computer so you can use these in the future if you need to.   This is a whole sheet of different coupons and they all expire 9/30/10.

You can combine these coupons with a great back-to-school sale and this $10 rebate to get some Post-It products for next to nothing.   Leave a comment if you find a great deal with these - I'd love to hear about it!

New Features

Aside from the new background, this blog has two new features that I am really excited about, and I think you will be too.

First, you will find the Sunday Coupon Preview window on the right sidebar.  This will give you advance notice of what inserts and coupons are coming out each week.  I like having this right here so we can all see them as soon as they are posted.

Next, it has been my goal to figure out how to give you (and me) the ability to print my posts so that you can create your shopping lists while you browse the blogs. I read the money saving blogs and prepare my lists as I look through them by opening a blank notepad and copying and pasting the info that I want. I thought it would be a great time saver if I could figure out a way to print directly from a list on my blog.

I found this great site called PrintFriendly.com.  Over at PrintFriendly.com you can turn any web page into a printer friendly document.  You can turn any one of my posts into a printer friendly document by clicking on the button at the bottom of each post.  You probably won't need to print most of my posts, but I am thinking this will come in handy when I post my shopping trips.

With Print Friendly you can edit the document before you print it, which is really a great feature.  You can take my list and delete things that you don't want on your shopping list, and you can add items that aren't on my list to customize it to your needs.   There's a demo video over at the PrintFriendly.com website  that explains everything you can do with a web site document you want to print, why not check it out - it's only a couple minutes in length.  What I love is that I can take any web page and delete any ads or unwanted photos and text and save ink by only printing out the info that I want or need.

I am going to put a link to PrintFriendly.com over on the sidebar soon so that it's always available for you to use if you want to go there to plug in other money saving blog's addresses for making lists.

See, I told you change is good! :)

FREE Insulated Lunch Tote & Wal-mart Deals for 7/22

Wal-mart has Arctic Zone insulated lunch totes for as little as $3.00 each.  Here's how you can get this FREE and turn it into a MM.

Inside these lunch totes are some coupons and a bonus offer for a six-issue subscription to Parents Magazine.  If you read the fine print of the magazine offer you can choose to get a "refund" for the subscription in lieu of the six free issues.  You just follow the instructions on the card and mail it in.  You will receive a $4.96 refund by mail making this a $1.96 MM!  The $3.00 lunch totes are pretty small so if you need something more substantial in size you can upgrade to the $6.00 lunch tote, then you end up paying $1.04 after the refund/rebate.  If you need more than one and have an extra address you can use for rebates make sure you split out into two transactions.  I found these in the front aisles by the school bags, backpacks and school supplies and they do come in a couple colors.

I have read on some of the money saving blogs that this same deal works over at Target with their lunch totes.  Just make sure you check inside to be sure your coupons and Parents offer are there.

Here's the coupons you will find inside:
$1.00 off Flintstones Multivitamins
$5.00 off Leapster 2 learning game or any Leapster game
$1.00 off 3 Horizon Organic Single Serve milk
$1.00 off 2 Yoplait products
$1.00 off 2 Bumble Bee
$1.00 off 2 Dole Fruit Bowls

Also at Walmart, if you have the August issue of All You there's a $1.00 off White Cloud coupon in there (it's a card insert that you pull out).  Wal-mart sells the 4 double rolls of White Cloud for $2.00 each.  Use this coupon to get 4 double rolls for $1.00 or .25 a roll.  .25 for a double roll is the price that I aim for when buying toilet paper.  The August issue of All You is not on the shelf yet so you will only have this if you get the subscription delivered to your door.

Next I want to remind you that the $1.00 off any Tide coupon from 7/4 PG will expire on 7/31 so if you aren't going to use the coupon on a larger size bottle, grab the .97 travel size tide for a FREE load of laundry with .03 overage.

Then there's an Olay deal that I snagged today. FREE Olay!

Change is Good!

I have been planning some changes here for quite sometime but I wasn't planning on putting them into place until this fall after school starts when I have more time to sit down and work on things in bigger blocks of time.

I have a little note from thecutestblogontheblock.com that my background on this blog is going to expire on Friday (tomorrow!) so I am forced to make a few changes sooner than I wanted.  I wasn't super crazy about the background here anyway and that was one of the items on my list to change up a bit.

I had been looking into getting some professional assistance to make the upgrades that I wanted, but after seeing the cost of doing that I really don't think it is going to be a reality.  The estimates are in the range of $600 (gasp!).  With my frugal personality, I couldn't see spending that kind of money when it's something I can learn to do myself, especially since this is more of a hobby for me than anything.

So, I just wanted to let you know that there's changes coming real soon.  Things may be a bit unorganized until I can get them all finished so please bear with me.  Everything will still be here, but it may not be exactly like it has been.  I have one new feature that I will explain later that I think you are REALLY going to like!  I will give you a little hint....the new button appears already right below this post.

FREE Bowling Anyone?

Today, my frugal friend Katie gave me some great coupons to share with everyone.  I have 17 coupons for a FREE game of bowling to share with anyone who would like them.  These don't expire until 8/31/10 so there's still plenty of time to plan a fun bowling get together or family bowling day.  Go to gobowling.com or bowl.com to find a participating bowling center.  These coupons are compliments of Tony's brand.

Send me an e-mail or leave me a comment if you would like one or more of these fun coupons.

Thanks for sharing, Katie!

Henry Vilas Zoo - Madison, WI

If you live within 2 hours driving distance of Madison, WI and are looking for an inexpensive, fun, family outing I highly recommend the Henry Vilas Zoo

Admission to this kid friendly zoo is FREE!  It's a nice size zoo where the little kids can really get a close up look at the animals.  They have a nice selection of animals from giraffes to penguins and everything in between.  You can pack your cooler and bring your lunch along.  There's plenty of picnic areas inside the zoo grounds and at the playground area right outside the zoo entrance.  The zoo is really easy to get to and the traffic into Madison is nowhere near as hectic as driving into Chicago.

If you are going on a hot day, pack your towels and suits because there is a really nice beach right outside one of the entrances of the zoo.  The beach is clean and the swimming area is perfect for small kids.  It's roped off with lifeguards on duty, and the swimming area is not deep at all.  There's shady areas to lay out your towels and there's restrooms close by.  It's a super family friendly place.

For the cost of gas (and maybe a little donation to the zoo) you can have a fun family day that doesn't break the bank!

Walgreens 7/18 thru 7/24

I didn't see a whole lot at Walgreens this week that I just can't live without.  The sales and Catalina promos have got to pick up soon - with this much of a lull I am hoping for some great deals ahead!   Here's what was on my shopping list today.

School supplies are the big push at Wags this week.  If you are looking for some overage to help cover the cost of those supplies you can pick up some G2 Pilot pens.  There's a $1.00 off coupon when you sign up here.  This coupon will be e-mailed to you, and it may not be instantly - mine took a little bit before I received it in my inbox.  Make sure you print it twice for each computer that you have (must register for each computer because the coupon is specific to each registration and only prints twice).  Stack this with the $1.00 off Pilot pen Wags store coupon in the monthly coupon booklet.  Be sure to hand over the manufacturer coupon first or you will strike out on overage.  This will give you .81 overage for each pen you purchase.  That should help cover the costs of some of the pencils, erasers, crayons, glue sticks, folders, etc. that your kids need to start the school year off right.

Next, there's Colgate Total toothpaste on sale for $3.49 with a $3.49 RR.  Use the $1.00 off coupon from the 7/11 SS to turn this into a MM after RR.

Lastly, the Intuition razors are on sale for $8.99 with a $3 RR in return.  Use the $4.00 off coupon from the July AY to get this REALLY nice razor for $1.99.  I know we get razors all the time for FREE, but I don't mind paying for this razor - it's my favorite razor BY FAR.  Why not treat yourself and give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

Hilander/Kroger Mega Event

My frugal friend Tara has been on a roll lately with some great tips on deals.  Here's what she sent me about Hilander's (Kroger affiliate) Mega Event that started on Thursday, 7/15:

OK, so it was definitely worth the trip to Hilander. Some highlights (all prices are mega event prices assuming you have bought 10 participating items and got the $5 off - .50 per item) ...

Kraft Mac N Cheese cups are .49 - use b2g1 from the game on the website, this one was actually better than I hoped. I was hoping it would take off the .99, but actually took off 1.29, the non card price - .06 EACH

Tombstone Pizza is 1.99 - use $2/1 coupons from liking them on facebook - FREE (Don't forget to print it twice!)

Kraft Miracle Whip 30 oz size is 1.69 - use $1/1 from their facebook page - .69 each

Ore-Ida Potatoes are $2.29 - load a $1/1 to your card from the Hilander site - 1.29 a bag

Chips Ahoy are 1.99 - I used $1/1 when you also buy 1 gallon milk which is $2.19 this week (best I can find around except maybe Aldi's)

Toaster Strudels are $1.49 - use .55/2 coupons from paper which double - .94 each (not the best I've gotten, but Joshua just ate the last one yesterday and he loves these for fun breakfast mornings which we seem to have a lot of in the summer)

Green Giant Steam Veggies are 1.49 - use .50/1 from coupons.com which doubles - .49 each (again not the best price, but we are very low on frozen veggies since the crop is just starting to come in)

There are other deals with matchups I noticed there too that I didn't do because we just didn't really need them now...

Rice Krispie Treats are $1.49 - use the $1/1 if you missed the Wags sale - .49 each

Philadelphia Cream Cheese is .99 - use the $1/1 coupon from the Real Women of Philadelphia website if it is still there - .49 each

Boulder Canyon Chips are .99 - use the $1/1 from coupons.com  - .49 each

Rice A Roni is .79 - use the $1/2 from the Kroger coupon mailings

Mortin PM is 2.50 - use the $3/1 from the paper (4/18 RP) - Free

Sargento cheese is $1.88 - use the .55 from the paper  (5/23 SS) which will double

Thanks to Tara for sharing her finds so everyone can take advantage of this sale!

7/18 Coupon Preview

Looks like there's only ONE coupon insert scheduled for your Sunday newspaper this week.  Check here for a list of what to expect.  Yours may be slightly different due to regional differences.

eCoupons Reminder

This is just a reminder that eCoupons.com is no longer taking coupons for trade (as of June 30th).  Don't send any more coupons to them because they won't be accepted.  If you have any credits on file, make sure you use them before you loose them.  They will honor any requests for credits until their stock is depleted.

I am really disappointed that this service will no longer be available because I really liked it, I was able to get so many good coupon extras there for only the cost of two stamps and .99.

FREE Bausch & Lomb

It doesn't get much easier than this!  Wal-mart has Bausch & Lomb Bio-true at $4.00 a bottle.  Right in front of the bottles is a tearpad with coupons for $4.00 off.  If only all of our coupon shopping was this easy!  These were found in the Health & Beauty department near the pharmacy - not in the optical department.

If you are shopping at "my" Wal-mart (Belvidere, IL) I grabbed the last of the bottles that were on the shelf, but there were tons of coupons left.  Snag the coupons and hold them until more come in, or take them to a different Wal-mart.   Thanks to my frugal friend, Renea for reporting that this Wal-mart has restocked the shelf!  Go get some FREE Bausch & Lomb!

Nintendo DSi Points

I have a Catalina coupon for 1000 Nintendo DSi points to use for downloadable games.  I got this at Jewel from Kellogg's.  We don't have a Nintendo so I can't use this, but I would hate to see this go to waste since some of the games are only 500-800 points.  If you can use this, send me an e-mail or leave me a comment with your e-mail address.  The first one to tell me they want it gets it.  I will send you an e-mail with the code and how to redeem it.

The points need to be entered by 8/1 and they expire 9/19.

.75 off Goldfish Grahams Coupon Reset!

The .75 off Goldfish Grahams coupon over at Coupons.com has reset!  I was able to print it twice again.   If you have a hard time finding it, check under zip code 60712.  My frugal friend Tara pointed this out while she was checking out these other coupons that I posted about earlier today.  Thank You, Tara!!

Ulta Beauty Friends & Family Sale

From 7/18 thru 7/24 Ulta Beauty is having a Friends & Family event.   If you have a Friends & Family discount card you will receive 20% off your entire purchase, which also includes any one salon service.  These cards are NOT available in the stores, you actually have to get them from someone who works at Ulta.  I have 16 of these discount cards for anyone who wants one - just leave me a comment or send me an e-mail and I will be sure to get one to you.

FREE Johnson & Johnson First Aid Kits

If you need some more J & J First Aid Kits head over here and print this $3.00 off TWO J & J Red Cross Products printable coupon.  This will get you TWO first aid kits with about .53 overage each at Walmart (with the right cashier) or Target (if the register doesn't automatically adjust this down).  With Back-to-School right around the corner these are super handy to have around.

Smart Balance Milk Printable Coupons

Over at Coupons.com using zip code 60712 there's TWO manufacturer printable coupons for $2.00 off any one carton of Smart Balance Milks.  That means you should be able to print it FOUR times per computer!  This is a super high value coupon on a really yummy milk!  Don't put off printing this one because they may realize that there's TWO of the same coupon up and pull one of them at any time.  When you print the coupon it will show an expiration date of 9/30/2010 or later.  That gives plenty of time to scope out a great deal on this milk.

P.S. - I was also able to print the $1.50 off DiGiorno pizza and breadsticks coupon again at this same zip code - maybe it's been reset??  :)

Capri Sun Catalina 7/21 thru 8/8

Here's a national Catalina promo coming up soon:

Buy two Capri Sun, Receive $1 OYNO
Buy three Capri Sun, Receive $2 OYNO
Buy four or more Capri Sun, Receive $3 OYNO

You will really rock this deal if you have any of those $1.00 off Capri Sun Sunrise coupons that were found taped to the shelves at Woodmans. This would be a great sale to use those at, they don't expire until 8/31/20.

As soon as the UPC list is available I will be happy to share it with you!

(Thanks CW!)

Kraft Catalina 7/19 thru 8/15

Is anyone else ready for a Catalina promo?  It seems as if there just have not been that many lately.  I am looking forward to this one:

(Thanks to CW & my frugal friend Tara for this info!)

Jewel Store Coupons

Recently Jewel has been generous with store coupons.  If you are signed up at their website you probably have been receiving regular store coupons lately in your inbox, with a variety of coupons from meats to breads.

If you want to grab two new store coupons, here's how:  Head over to sign up for their weekly e-mails here.  Even if you are already signed up, you can do it again just to get these TWO coupons.  Register with your info and then enter the promo code: PRODUCE to get a $2.00 store coupon off ANY produce priced $2.00 or more OR enter the code: FREEBREAD to get a store coupon for FREE bakery bread (maximum value $3.00).  The dates these coupons are valid are 7/12 - 7/26.  The great thing about this is that these are an unlimited print coupon, so print as many as you can use before they expire.  The fine print is extremely hard to read on the printed coupon so it's hard to tell if these can be used multiple times in one transaction.

If you have more than one card you can register both and use one promo code per card to get both coupons, or you can register the same card twice using both promo codes to get the coupons.

A big THANKS to my frugal friend Tara for e-mailing me this great tip!

Target Toy Clearance

It's July and that means Target toy clearance!  Target has BIG toy clearances in January and July.  Keep your eyes out for great deals in the toy department.  They usually start at about 30% off and as time passes they keep getting lower until it's all gone.  This is a great time to start stocking up for Christmas or stashing away gifts for birthdays, holidays or special occasions.

Walgreens 7/11 - 7/17

There's not a whole lot going on at Wags this week but I did spot a couple good deals that I wanted to share with you.

Scunci Value Pack (Buy 1 Get One Free packs) Hair Accessories are ringing up B1G1F.  There's also a coupon in this week's ad to bring their price down to $1.99.  Here's how to get TWO Value Packs for .99.  Purchase TWO Scunci Value Pack Hair Accessories and make sure they ring up B1G1F.  You can tell on the register because it will show BGLP next to the price.  These will ring at $2.99 each.  Once the cashier totals out your transaction the register will deduct $2.99 for one of the packages.  Hand over the Wags store coupon (in-ad) and the register will deduct $1.00 for each of the packages that you purchased, so $2.00 will come off.  That makes .99 for 2 B1G1 packs of hair accessories, in this case it was for 72 hair bands.  Note that I only tried it with the bands in the photo above.  These were not marked as B1G1F at my store so I had the cashier do a price check before I purchased them.

Salonpas Hot Patch are .99 after the in-ad store coupon.  There's a $1.00 off printable coupon over at Coupons.com turning these into a .01 MM.

Also over at Coupons.com there is a coupon for $3.00 off two Right Guard Total Defense Deodorant.  Pick up TWO that are on sale B1G1F and get these for .99 (for two) after coupon.

Goldfish crackers are on sale for .99 each.  Print the .50 off coupon here to get these for .49 each.   Remember to get a rain check if your store is out.

Combos are on sale for .99 each, use the $1.00 off TWO coupon from the June AY to get two for .98.

Ritz Bits (small bags) are on sale 2/$1 - use the $1.00 off TWO coupon in the 5/16 SS to get these FREE. Check up by the registers if you don't find these in the snack aisle.

Lastly, there's a $3.00 off in-ad coupon for Dr. Scholl's Insoles.  Some Wags stores have the High Heel insoles on clearance for $2.99.  The coupon won't give overage on this one, but you will get it for FREE.

Target Printables

There's some really good coupons over on the Target website right now.  Head on over and check them out ASAP - these good ones tend to go pretty fast.

There's:
$5.00 off C9 Champion  Apparel - men's or women's
$2.00 off Merona Women's Top
$3.00 off Merona Handbag
$3.00 off Merona Men's Top
$1.00 off Hanes for Men, Women or Kids

There's also some new coupons for things like Colgate, Clean and Clear and Stride - just to name a few.

Remember to check the clearance for the clothing/handbag coupons - the coupons DO NOT exclude clearance items!!

A Real Eye Opener

With warm weather, spending time with family & friends and some unexpected things that have come up I have really been off my game for a couple weeks when it comes to couponing and deal seeking.  It's a good thing that I have been able to build up a very healthy stockpile for us to live off of during these "off" times.

I stopped in over at my old shopping ground, Sam's Club, on Friday to grab just a couple things that I haven't been able to stockpile (or stockpile enough of).  I used to shop at Sam's Club for most of our essentials for a long time, but it's been ages since I had been into a Sam's Club store, probably only once or twice in the past year.  As I walked around and grabbed the few items that I needed, I was floored at the prices I used to pay for items.  Did you know that at Sam's Club a box of 24 Rice Crispy Treats is $7.53 (before tax)?  Just in the last couple of weeks I paid $2.00 (before tax) for 32 Rice Crispy Treats at Walgreens - that's a real eye opener!

It made me realize that I need to keep couponing as a priority and balance my time better so that I can continue to seek out the deals.  If I don't keep up with couponing and deal seeking,  we may not be able to do all the fun things we have been doing this summer because we wouldn't have that extra money in our budget.

I just want to offer up some encouragement and a reminder for you during these lazy days filled with excitement and fun things - it's still important to your family to make time to check the blogs, clip and print coupons and get to the store while your necessities are on sale.

7/11 Coupon Preview

If you just can't wait until Sunday morning when you get the newspaper, you can check out what coupons will be in your inserts here.  You will get a SmartSource and RedPlum insert this week.  Inserts vary by region and publication so don't be surprised if your coupons are slightly different.

P&GeSaver Coupons

P&GeSaver coupons are electronic Procter and Gamble coupons that you can load to your shopper cards.  These were around awhile back and then Procter and Gamble stopped offering them.  I am glad to see they have returned.  These are only available to load to certain retailer's cards - you can see the stores listed in the photo above or you can go here to sign up and read more about it.

FREE Book @ Barnes & Noble

My frugal friend Tara saw my post on Borders Books and sent me a note about the Summer Reading Program over at Barnes & Noble.  Go here to download the form.  This one only requires 8 books to be read by your child to get a FREE book.  Bring the completed form into the store and choose your favorite FREEBIE!

Tropicana Trop50 $1.00 Printable

I was poking around over at Coupons.com to see if there was anything new and I noticed that the Trop50 $1.00 Coupon was reset!  I was only able to print it once this time but the one I just printed doesn't expire until 8/22.  This is a really great coupon and if you hold onto it for a bit you may be able to scope out a great deal with it.  I used this over at Jewel with the June Dairy Month Catalina promo to get containers of orange juice for .49 each!

FREE Book @ Borders

Borders Books is running a summer reading program for kids.  If your child (or children) are 12 or under they can participate.  Head over to the Borders website here and download the form.  Just fill out the form with 10 books that your child has read this summer and you can take the form in for a FREE book!  Seems pretty easy, especially if you are already participating in a reading program through your local library or school.

Walgreens Clearance Finds

If you are heading to Wags anytime soon you might want to check the clearance aisle.  Remember that all Wags stores are a bit different so these items may not be clearanced at all stores.  These are the goodies I found today:

I scored some Rimmel lipstick with a bonus lip liner on clearance for $2.64.  I had some printables for $2.00 off any Rimmel product (no longer available) from the All You website that worked great on these.  I intended on using this coupon at Target for the $2.24 mascara, but Target raised the price of these to $2.99.  I figured I would find a better deal to use this coupon on and I am glad I waited!

I also found Dr. Scholl's for Her High Heel insoles on clearance (in the clearance aisle by the toys) for $2.99 - use the $3 manufacturer coupon in the May AY mag to get it FREE.  (the monthly store coupon does not work on this product - I tried it)

On an endcap I found nice, plain t-shirts on clearance 5 for $10.  There were sizes ranging from Youth to Adult in a variety of colors.  These shirts are supposed to be "seconds" but I couldn't find anything wrong with the 5 that I purchased.  I mixed and matched Youth and Adult sizes.  Just make sure these ring up the right price, they may need to be manually adjusted to get he right clearance price.  You can't ever have enough t-shirts!

If these items are not marked on clearance in the store that you shop at, you might want to consider asking the cashier to do a price check for you - you could be pleasantly surprised to find that they really are on clearance!

DiGiorno Printable Coupons

Over at the All You website there's a new coupon for $1.50 off any ONE package of DiGiorno Pizza & Breadsticks.  Just go here and click on "foods" on the left sidebar to find it quicker.

This is a nice, high value coupon that we don't see too often.  I tried this pizza the last time this coupon was available and it was great!  My family really liked both the pizza and breadsticks

If you "like" DiGiorno over on Facebook then you can also print a $2.00 off coupon for the Deep Dish pizza.  Go here to get yours!

B1G1 Coupon for Bear Naked Products

If you "like" Bear Naked over on Facebook you will get a coupon for B1G1 FREE on any Bear Naked product (up to $5).  Click here to go straight to the Bear Naked page on FB.

Bear Naked is running this promo until they reach 50K fans and right now they are only at about 18,700 so you should still be able to grab this.

You might want to take note that yesterday they were having technical difficulties with the coupon printing.  I wasn't able to print mine from the FB page, but this morning I had an e-mail with my coupon included.  I was able to print it twice.  Make sure you check your spam folder - that's where I found mine.  I am glad I checked before I emptied it!

Hold onto this coupon for a bit, it doesn't expire for a month after you print it.  Maybe we will find a B1G1 sale to pair it with to get BOTH FREE!  Let me know if you find a great deal to use this with.

The Radio Shopping Show Summer Marathon

The Radio Shopping Show is hosting their Summer Marathon 7/9 thru 7/11.   This is a HUGE savings extravaganza that you will not want to miss out on.  They will be selling certificates at deeply discounted rates all weekend long.  You can check out their website here and you can click on "Marathon Show" over to the left side of the page to see some of what will be offered at the Marathon.

If you don't know what The Radio Shopping Show is all about, check out my original post here.  If you can't get them on 1410 AM on your radio,  you can listen from your computer by heading over to their site and clicking on "Listen Live".

We just used our Lego Land tickets today that I purchased through The Radio Shopping Show.  These tickets were valued at $19.95 and I purchased them through the show for $8 each.  We had a lot of fun and I loved that I saved so much on the tickets!

Jewel 7/8 thru 7/14

There's a couple Catalina promos going on at Jewel right now that overlap each other for a "Double Dip" on certain products.  For those that don't know, a Double Dip is when products overlap and are part of TWO Catalina promos at the same time.  If you play the game right you can double the bang for your buck when you combine the two Catalina promos at once.

Both promos running are for P & G products:

The first promo is running 7/8 thru 7/14.  Spend $30 in participating Procter & Gamble products in a single transaction and get a $15 iTunes gift card.

The second promo is running 7/4 thru 7/31.  Buy 3 participating Procter & Gamble products and get $5 OYNO in the form of a Catalina coupon.

I have the UPC lists for these promos already so if you need them just send me a note and I will forward them.  I also have a UPC list broken down by just the Double Dip products which should make this easy to shop.  There should be many P&G coupons to work into this promo since we just had the P&G insert on 7/5.  Coupon Tom or the Deal Seeking Mom coupon database, both linked on the right sidebar, can be used to find coupons for your list.

I also noticed that 2L bottles of Coke are on sale for 10 for $10 again.  If you found any of those tear-pads that I mentioned here, you can get FREE bottles of Coke.

There's quite a few items that are on sale B1G1 this week at Jewel also, go here to check this week's ad.  Remember you can use TWO coupons on B1G1 items, one on the one you are buying and one on the FREE item.

Lastly, Rold Gold pretzels are on sale for $2.59 a bag.  If you need pretzels to use up all that Dean's pretzel dip you picked up during the June Dairy Month Catalina promo this is an OK deal.  Buy TWO bags and use the $1.00 off 2 coupon from the 6/20 SS (expires 7/18) to make these $2.09 a bag.  Like I said, an OK deal if you need them.  We have been going through loads of pretzels in our house because that Dean's dip is YUMMY and pretzels are a great salty snack alternative to chips.

Cheap Green Works @ Wags

Walgreens doesn't have a whole lot going on this week but I noticed over at Coupons.com that there's a $1.00 off printable coupon for Green Works dish washing liquid and that matches up nicely with the sale running at Wags this week.  All Green Works products are on sale for $2.99 with a $1 RR back.  Use the $1.00 printable to get this for .99 after coupon and RR.  Not a bad deal if you need this or want to try it out.  The bottle is 22 oz. which is a good size for .99.

There's also a $1.00 printable here for the glass cleaner that is also on sale for $2.99 with the $1 RR.

7/4 Coupon Preview

There's one P & G coupon insert scheduled to be delivered in our newspapers on 7/4/10.  Go here for your preview of what to expect.

Happy 4th of July!

Target Changes

The days of overage with coupons at Target are over.  We were out to dinner for my husband's birthday, so I ran in to Target last night to grab a few freebies that I had on my list.  When the cashier scanned all my coupons, every single one of them adjusted down to the price of the item - not one coupon that was for higher than the amount scanned at the face value.  Even the cashier was surprised to see the register adjusting like this because she already knew that my coupons were higher than the values and was prepared to do a manual adjust.  Target must have been working hard on reprogramming the registers to identify overage.  :{  Oh well, overage is a nice gift, but we surely aren't entitled to it, and it was great while it lasted.  FREE is good too.  I just wonder why they don't write that amount on the coupon so that the manufacturers don't reimburse them for the full amount?   It's almost as if Target is taking the overage away from the shopper and keeping it for themselves!

I also noticed that the store that I normally shop at (E. State Street, Rockford, IL) now has the Catalina machines at the registers.  The machine didn't give me any coupons, but I saw the woman in front of me in line get one.   If you are shopping at Target make sure you get all the coupons that print out for you and also make sure the cashier is giving you your credit for using re-useable shopping bags, I have noticed that they tend to forget that!

K-mart Super Doubles 7/4 - 7/10

Have fun!

Giveaway Winners: $10 Radio Shopping Show Certificates

Four lucky readers left me comments on how they would use a $10 certificate for The Radio Shopping Show.  You can see the original post here

The winners of the certificates are:
* Nicole, who told me that she is planning on taking her family to Legoland and would use the certificate for tickets.
* Beth, who wrote that she wants to go to a water park or pool with her family and would use the certificate for passes.
* Renea, wants to use the certificates to take her large family out to eat.
* Maria, who wants to splurge on a mini getaway for her kids.

I hope you all enjoy your certificates and get to use them for something fun!

I still have a couple certificates left, so if you are interested please send me a note.  If I still have them when you contact me I'd be happy to share!
