K-mart Super Doubles on 10/31/10 ONLY

I received an e-mail this morning from K-mart advertising a one day only double coupon sale for 10/31/10.  To read the fine print, check here.  There's lots of stipulations on this one, K-mart seems to be making these promos harder and harder to get any great deals.  This sale doubles manufacturer coupons up to $2 ($2 off coupon becomes $4 off the item) and will not double more than the price of the item, but you have to spend $25 in grocery and drug-store merchandise in order to qualify.

Thanks, but no thanks, K-mart!  This sounds like too much work and trouble for me - I will be sitting this one out!

K-mart $5 Toy Printable

I was snooping around over at CW this morning and found this $5 off any toy purchase of $5 or more printable store coupon for K-mart.  This coupon expires on 10/31 so you will want to jump on this one right away!  This coupon is in .pdf format so you can print as many as you need. You might want to save this one to your computer in case the link disappears - I have it saved if you need it e-mailed to you, just send me a note.

There are a couple exclusions that I want to point out: excludes clearance items, B1G1 events, electronics, infants, stationery and prior purchases.  It does state right on it "Limit One Coupon per Transaction" so there is nothing wrong with breaking this down into $5 transactions to get the biggest bang for your buck.

I am not a big fan of coupon shopping at K-mart (except for doubles!) because of all the hassles and I have not tried this one yet so I can't guarantee how it's going to work once you check out but for FREE or cheap toys with Christmas right around the corner I think it's worth a try.  If you stop over there, come back and leave a comment about your experience and how it played out.  :)

UPDATE: I had good luck with this coupon this afternoon at my local K-mart store.  I was able to do two transactions in a row with no problems.  I didn't want to over-do it so I will be going back tomorrow for a few more things.  :)  I saw quite a few things that were priced right around $5 each that would make great stocking stuffers and birthday gifts.

End of Month - Printables

Just a friendly reminder to check out Coupons.com,  Smartsource.com and RedPlum.com before they change and reset the printables with the first of the month.  There may be some good ones that you have been meaning to print but never got around to.  Take a minute to check them out before they are gone for good.  Sometimes there are coupons that reset with the first of the month also, so if there's some good ones that you have printed in the past, check back after the first of November and maybe you will get lucky and print them again.

Candy Coupons

Just in time for Halloween, Coupons.com has released some good candy coupons.  Here's a list of some of them:

- $2.00 off ONE (1) Nestle Candy Variety Bag
- $1.50 off ONE (1) Wonka Mixups
- $2.00 off ONE (1) Wonka Best on the Block
- $2.50 off TWO (2) Nestle Candy Variety Bags
- $1.50 off any THREE (3) bags Skittles, Starburst, Lifesavers

If you don't need Halloween candy now, think "clearance" for after Halloween and save these for when the seasonal candy is reduced.  These coupons may make for some really cheap or FREE candy!

Wags Alka-Seltzer Money Maker thru 10/30

With all these money makers @ Wags this week I am a little excited about shopping there again!!  Here's another good one that is not in the weekly ad.

Alka-Seltzer products are part of an RR promo going on right now.   Buy 2 participating products and get a $3 RR, buy 3 participating products and get a $5 RR.  The ad shows Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold and Alka-Seltzer Plus Day & Night, 10 or 20 count packages; however the ad does not show the Alka-Seltzer Plus Fast Crystal Packs but they are part of this promo.  There were tags at the store that I picked them up at (Cherry Valley, IL) showing they were a participating product.  The Fast Crystal Packs (shown above) are on sale for $3.99 each.  There's a $3.00 off coupon in the 10/24 RP.  To make the best of this deal you will need three of these coupons, but you can also cash in on this one if you only have two coupons.  I only had two so here's how my scenario worked out:

2 boxes Alka-Seltzer Fast Crystal Packs = $7.98
2 $3.00 off coupons = -$6.00
Total OOP = $1.98 (plus tax)
Received 1 - $3.00 OYNO RR turning this into a $1.02 MM

If you have three coupons here's what your scenario will look like:

3 boxes Alka-Seltzer Fast Crystal Packs = $11.97
3 $3.00 off coupons = -$9.00
Total OOP = $2.97  (plus tax)
Receive 1 - $5.00 OYNO RR turning this into a $2.03 MM

Walgreens 10/24 thru 10/30

Hello frugal friends!  Walgreens has some good money makers this week on things that my family actually uses so this makes me a happy camper.  I have a MM offer for 4 of my frugal friends so keep on reading! :)

The first MM you will find is on Contac Cold and Flu.  It's on sale this week for $6 and you get a $6 RR in return for purchasing it - FREE cold & flu medicine going into the cold and flu season is a good thing.  Stock up on what you think your family might need for the entire season.  You will want to use the $2 off printable manufacturer coupon found here to make some moo-lah on this one.  Remember you can print it twice per computer.  (sorry, it looks like this print may have met it's max already!)

The next MM is on Colgate Sensitive toothpaste.  I am all over this one because this is my toothpaste of choice!  It's on sale this week for $3.49 a tube with a $3.50 RR in return.  Use the $1.00 off coupon from the 10/10 SS, .75 off coupon from the October ALL YOU or the .$1.00 off printable manufacturer coupon here and make an extra .75-$1.00 on each one you "buy".

Mentos gum is on sale for .99 each with the in-ad coupon.  Use the $1.00 off manufacturer coupon from the 10/3 SS (there's TWO coupons on this page!) to turn each bottle into a .01 MM.  We go through tons of gum in our family so I am loving this one also!  FREE gum is good, but when you can turn it into a MM that's even better.  Make sure you hand over the manufacturer coupon first and then the in-ad coupon otherwise the register will beep and cause cashier confusion!

If you need more gum, there is another good deal on Trident but it's not a MM.  I did get in on this one also because Trident Layers is my kiddo's favorite gum.  It's also on sale for .99 a pack with the in-ad coupon.  Use this .75 off printable from Facebook here, the $1.00/3 coupon from 9/12 SS or the $1.00/2 from the 10/24 SS.  Remember you can print the Facebook coupon more than twice if you log into your Facebook page on a different computer.  These will cost you any where from .24 each to .65 each depending on which coupons you use.  Don't forget to have the cashier scan the in-ad coupon.

This week Wags is doing something a little different.  There are three products that are FREE after mail-in rebate.  This mail-in rebate form prints out at the Catalina machine just like an OYNO does.  At first I wasn't too excited about these because you don't get your money back immediately in the form of a Catalina and you have to wait for your rebate.  You are also limited on the # of offers you can purchase by how many addresses you have to send rebates to.  Too much work for me for a FREE item BUT, once I searched around and found a $1.50 off coupon for the Chestal cough syrup I changed my mind a little bit.  That quickly turned this FREEBIE into a MM!  The coupon is in the 1/24 RP insert.  If you have not been couponing for a long time you probably won't have this insert in your stash so here's where my offer to you comes in.  I had 7 of these coupons but I only have 3 addresses to mail in rebates to.  That leaves me with 4 extra $1.50 off coupons.  The first 4 local frugal friends to leave me a comment or send me an e-mail telling me that they will use these coupons will get them.  One coupon per friend so we can spread the coupon joy around!  Good Luck! :)

Progress!

Many of you have asked about how our frugal house adventure is coming along so I thought I would post an update with our progress and some photos.  To read about our adventure and how it all started, you can read my original post here.  You can also see some great "before" photos there.

On November 2nd it will be two full months that we have owned this house and I am quite proud of our accomplishments so far.  Most of our work has been concentrated on the outside for two reasons; first, to make the neighbors happy and spruce up the neighborhood because this place was a pretty big eyesore when we purchased it, and second, to get as much outdoor work done before the snow flies - unfortunately that will be here sooner than we all want it to!

Here's a couple photos of the outside now:
As you can see, all the clutter in the driveway and yard has been removed.  The little shed in this second photo will be the next to go.  We are moving this to our house and it is going to be fixed up and re-purposed as a play house for our 6 year old son by his playground.

We also had two very large trees professionally taken down.  One was very close to the house and rubbing on the roof, the other was a huge, old, messy walnut tree.  The neighbors were very happy to see the walnut tree go since it was right on the property line and they were not happy about all the nuts hitting their house and cars.  We were able to strike a deal with the man who took the trees down since walnut is very valuable wood and this was one nice hunk of wood!  We were also left with a really nice, big pile of spruce mulch that we will use in the spring for landscaping.  In the meantime, the yard smells wonderful with the scent of spruce everytime you get out of your car or go out into the yard.

Here's our progress on the inside:

Whew!  It makes me tired to look at these photos - I can really see just how much we have accomplished in just two months!  I do have to give most of the credit to my husband.  I have worked many hours there and at home on a lot of this, but he's really the one who has put in the most time and effort.  Without his long hours and elbow grease it would not look this good - Thanks, honey!  You are the best!

We haven't had the water hooked up yet, and won't be doing so until spring.  We have decided that it would not be frugal of us to heat an empty house for the winter months.  If we had water hook up we would have to heat the house all winter so the pipes wouldn't freeze.  Once it gets too cold we probably will hold off on any further work until the spring.

I haven't sat down and added up the expenses vs. income in a couple weeks, but as of the last time I ran the numbers we were ahead just by a little bit.  We sold the 1996 Dodge truck which was a nice chunk of cash to offset some of our recent expenses and we tallied up all the loose change, postage and aluminum that we cashed in to recycle too so it all adds up.  We don't have a FREE house yet, but we are keeping our heads above water and breaking even so far and that makes me happy.  We won't show any serious strides in my challenge until we have our estate sales in the spring/summer of 2011.

We have found many treasures that we are keeping and I have slowly started to clean, organize and put away all the great items we have found.  Stay tuned for a post about some of these treasures with photos.  I just need to figure out how I am going to track these items as part of my challenge - that's going to be the difficult part!

40% off @ GAP on 10/23

A little birdie tipped me that the GAP stores are running a 40% off sale for all purchases on Saturday, 10/23/10.  It gets even better if you have a GAP credit card, use that for your purchase and you get 45% off your total sale.

Jewel Ad Highlights 10/21 thru 10/27

Have you come down from your Catalina high yet?  With the past couple weeks of Catalina promos Jewel has given us couponers a break this week.

There's not a whole lot going on, but if you have some Catalinas that you need to spend before they expire, here's some things that look like a good deal:

Value Wise Russet Potatoes are on sale for $1.28 for a 5lb. bag, limit 2.

The Culinary Circle frozen pizzas are $3.99 each (these are VERY yummy frozen pizzas!)

Three day sale, 10/21 thru 10/23: .99 lb Crimson Seedless Grapes, .99 lb Jewel split chicken breasts.

If you didn't get your General Mills cereals last week, you can get select cereals this week 2/$5 and a Catalina for a FREE gallon of milk will print out if you purchase 4.  Participating cereals are: Honey Nut Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Multi Grain Cheerios and Kix.  I wasn't able to find any coupon match-ups for this sale.

There's a Instant Savings Spotlight sale running on mostly ConAgra items.  Purchase 10 items and get a $2 instant deduction on your receipt.  If you didn't get what you needed from the ConAgra Catalina promo recently these are not bad prices.  The items come out to be .80 each after the Instant Savings Spotlight.  When you pair that with any coupons you find these are reasonable prices.  To see all the items in the ad that are included, check here.

There's also s 10 for $10 mix and match sale going on so check the ad for those products also.  You might find something that you need there.

If you go to the store, grab an ad at the door.  There are some and manufacturer coupons inside - check them out!

All in all, not a great week (unless you NEED this stuff) so if you can hang onto your Catalinas, I would recommend doing so to see if next week pans out to be better.

FREE Purina Dog Food w/Overage @ Wal-mart

Here's a way to make your budget and your fur-baby very happy!  Use the $2.00 off any Beneful product coupon from the 10/10 RP or the printable that I mentioned here (no longer available) for these Purina Beneful containers of dog food and you will get .40 overage for each one that you "buy".  That's right - these are priced at just $1.60 each at Wal-mart so FREE dog food with a MM!  Cha-ching!  Be sure to check out with a coupon friendly cashier to get the most out of this coupon.

Make sure you have enough in your cart to cover the overage and if you don't have a fur-baby why not consider donating these to your local animal shelter?  In these tough economic times they would welcome your donation and you can enjoy the overage!

Hilander 10/21-10/27

Hilander is still running their buy 10 participating products get $5 off instantly promotion, but with a new set of items. The only really notable deal I found is Hungry-Man Frozen Meals which are $1.99 (when you buy a combination of 10 items). There is a $2/1 coupon for these on Facebook making them free.

Even better this week at Hilander is the 10 for $10 sale. Remember these are actually all priced at $1 and you do not have to buy 10 to get that price. Here are my favorites:

Athenos Hummus is $1

-$1.50/3 ecoupon from Hilander.net

Thinking about Christmas?

I know, it's a little early to be thinking about shopping for Christmas gifts...but for all you early birds I wanted to remind you about the FREE silver jewelry you can get over at the Silver Jewelry ClubHere's photos and a review of my purchase back in March.  I really love the jewelry that I received and it has held up very well.  The silver jewelry pieces you see featured on the site are FREE and you only have to pay $6.99 for S&H.  They also offer specials on chains, which are a great deal and super nice quality as well.  The featured pieces rotate about every 15 minutes so check back often to find a variety of pieces.

Bufferin Money Maker @ Wags 10/17 thru 10/23

I just KNEW there had to be at least one good money maker at Wags this week and sure enough there is!  After searching the money saving blogs I ran across this scenario that worked perfectly for me this morning.

Bufferin Low Dose aspirin (130 tablets) are $5.99 each (regular price/no sale).  Use the $3.00 off manufacturer coupon from the 10/17 SS insert AND the $3.00 off Wags store coupon (expires 10/23) in the monthly coupon booklet to get these FREE with .01 overage.  I know, .01 overage is not enough to make this a super duper money maker BUT, when you send in for the "Try Me Free" rebate on the Bufferin that is in the 10/17 SS insert right by the coupon you now have yourself a $3.00 MM!  (rebate form states that the $3 for the manufacturer coupon will be deducted from the amount of the rebate).  Make sure you scan the manufacturer coupon first and then the Wags store coupon otherwise you will have beeps at the register.  Remember you can submit more than one rebate if you have other addresses you can use.

Another note about Wags for this week, my frugal friend Melissa reminded me that there's a $2.00 off Nivea product manufacturer coupon in the October ALL YOU magazine.  You can use that coupon in lieu of one of the $3 off coupons in my post here to still get the Nivea men's body wash FREE.  Thanks, Melissa!

New Printable Coupon Link

I have added a new printable coupon link on the sidebar that I wanted to point out to you.  This link is for Coupon Network by Catalina and yes, this is the SAME Catalina company that gives us all the great Catalina promos!

If you are shopping the GM Catalina promo this week at Jewel you are going to want to check out this site - there's loads of printables for many of the products on the UPC list.

You will need to sign up to have access to the printables and you will want to check back often to see if there's any new offers.  I am really hoping that they are going to continually offer printable manufacturer coupons that align with the Catalina promos running at the stores - wouldn't that be sweet?!?

Walgreens 10/17 thru 10/23

It's a slow week at Wags again but there are a couple items you will want to stop in for.

There's two freebies after RR's this week but after searching high and low, I didn't find any coupons to match up to these so we don't have any money makers here.  The first is Mucinex Nasal Spray on sale for $7.99 with a $8.00 RR in return.  The other is Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment on sale for $2.59 with a $2.60 RR in return.  Both of these make a great filler to roll some Register Rewards that may be expiring soon.

I also picked up some Ricola lozenges on sale for $1.00 each.  I paired the $1.00 off TWO manufacturer coupon from the 10/17 SS with the .50 Wags store coupon from the monthly coupon booklet to grab these for FREE.

Lastly, I grabbed two of the Nivea Men's Active 3 body wash on sale 2/$5.  I used TWO of the $3.00 off coupons from the 10/17 RP to get these FREE.  This scenario will probably not net you any overage because the second coupon beeps and prompts the cashier to either over-ride or adjust the second coupon down.  If the cashier is not paying attention they may just over-ride and you will get $1.00 overage, but chances are likely they will adjust it down.  You will want to have enough in your cart to cover the overage just incase.

New/Reset Quaker Oats $2 Off Printable

Remember that great $2.00 off Quaker Oats printable coupon I mentioned here?  It's either been reset or there's a new one here.  You are going to want to print this one quick because it's going to go fast!  Remember, you can get the boxes at Jewel this week for .50 each with this coupon.

Thanks, Money Saving Madness for this awesome link!

Walmart Freebies and Deals for 10/14

I stopped in over at Wal-mart today to grab some of these great deals:

The Maruchan Yakisoba noodles are .54 each so if you use the .50 off coupon from the 10/10 SS you can snag these for .04 each.  These are great to have on hand for a quick lunch.  There's a couple different flavors of these to choose from. (update: there's also a .50 off coupon in the 8/29 SS insert!)

There are some packages of EcoFriendly White Avery address labels priced at just $4.00.  These packages have 10 sheets with 300 labels in the package.  You can print a $5.00 off Avery labels coupon  here.  That turns these into a $1.00 money maker with the right cashier!

Print a $1.50 off Coffee-mate creamer coupon here.  Some of the small 16 oz. flavored creamers are priced at $1.50 making them FREE or the original Coffee-mate creamer is $1.88 making them .38 each.

Certain Reach floss are priced at .97 each.  Use the $1.00 coupon from the 10/10 RP to turn this into a .03 money maker.  You can also print a $1.00 off coupon here

Single load packets of Tide (in the travel/trial section) are .97 each.  Use the $1.00 off coupon from the 9/26 PG turning this into a .03 MM with the right cashier, of course!

Gain dish soap is .97 for the small size bottle.  Use the $1.00 off coupon from the 10/10 PG insert to make these FREE with a .03 MM.

Lastly, my frugal friend Maria just reported in that she found Men's Speed Stick deodorant for .50 each.  Use the .50 off coupon from the 10/3 SS to make these FREE too! (note: the coupon excludes the .5 oz. product and it's hard to tell from this photo what size this is so you may not have luck with this one - can't hurt to bring the coupon along just in case!)

Deals at CVS 10/10-10/16

Not a super exciting week..but here are a few that I did find.

Dean's Milk (gallon) is on sale for $2.79 with a $1 ECB, making it $1.79. Limit of 2 per card.

Quaker Quick Oats, Instant Oatmeal and Granola Bars are on sale for 2/$5, with a $2 ECB on 2, making these 2/$3. Limit of 2 per card.
If you were lucky enough to get the $2 off Quaker oatmeal coupons (no longer available), you now have a $1 MM.
Other coupons available are $.75/2 Granola Bars (9/19 RP), $1 Quaker Oatmeal (8/29 RP) and $1 Quaker Instant Oatmeal (9/12 RP)

Colgate Total Advanced or Enamel Strength Toothpaste 4oz are on sale for $2.99 with a $2.99 ECB, making these free. Limit of 2 per card. Pair this up with some coupons and you now have a MM.
$.75 Colgate Toothpaste (10/3 SS), $.75 Colgate Total (Sept, AY)

Be sure to scan your Extra Care Card when you go to the store. Yesterday it was printing off coupons for $.99 off brach's candy corn, which happens to be on sale for $.99, so free candy!

Halls .55 Tearpad Coupon

Be on the look-out for a tearpad coupon for .55 off Halls.  If you find these, take them to Wags and use them to turn the FREE Halls Refresh (after RR's) into a .55 MM this week!  :)  My cashier at Wags had some of these today and shared them with me, another couponer gave her a few extras that she picked up at a local ShopKo store. Thanks, Rodie!  I hope you can find some of these too!

Jewel Ad Highlights for 10/14 thru 10/20

Thursday starts a new sale week at Jewel stores.  Goodbye ConAgra....Hello General Mills!!

The big draw for Jewel will be the GM Catalina promo and sale that starts on 10/14.  Spend $25 in participating products and receive a $10 OYNO Catalina.  There is a UPC list (courtesy of CW) and if you need it just let me know - I will share!  Some participating products are: Totino's, Green Giant, Betty Crocker, Progresso, Chex, Bugles, Pillsbury, Fiber One and Yoplait. There are loads of printable coupons to match up to this sale.  Check out Smartsource, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, General Mills, Box Tops and Coupons.com for these.  If you are new to shopping at Jewel stores, here's a great place to learn the ropes!

When I checked the list of national Catalinas running 10/4 thru 10/31 there's a couple that appear to be "double dips" with the GM promo.  According to the master list Betty Crocker fruit snacks and Betty Crocker frostings are national Catalinas running at the same time.  If you would like the list of national Catalinas send me a note and I will be happy to share.  We won't know for sure if they are double dipping until after the sale starts, and if I get info that it is working I will update this post accordingly.

Aside from the GM Catalina promo, there's not much going on.  If you were lucky enough to grab the $2.00 off Quaker oatmeal coupon that was available on Facebook a few days ago you could snag these for .50 a box because they are on sale 2/$5 (instant oatmeal or oatmeal to go).

A Few More Hilander/Kroger Goodies

Frugal Tara had some great deals listed at Hilander this week, you can see her original post here.  When I went today I scored a few more goodies that I wanted to share with you.

My frugal pal Melissa tipped me in on this Tide Stain release deal.  The 36 oz bottles are $7.49 right now, and there's a $3.00 off electronic coupon you can add to your Plus Card to stack with the $3.00 off manufacturer coupon from the 9/26 PG insert.  Makes these bottles $1.49 after coupons!

Frugal Melissa also alerted me to the money maker with Vicks Sinex.  If you stack the $4.00 off coupon from the 9/26 PG or the 10/10 PG inserts with the $4.00 electronic coupon loaded to your card you can "make" $1.71 on this one! Make sure you have enough in your cart to cover your overage.

Bumble Bee light tuna is still .99 a pouch, use the .55 coupon from the 9/12 SS to get these FREE when the coupon doubles.  You won't get overage on this one but FREE is still good!

Oreo cookies are part of the $5 instant savings sale (wyb 10 participating items).  Load the $1.00 off TWO electronic coupon to your Plus card to get additional savings on these.  If you were lucky enough to print the Nabisco monthly coupon available on Facebook at the beginning of each month you can get one FREE package when you purchase one package and a gallon of milk together.  The cashier will take off $2.99 for the FREE package, but it still counts toward one of your 10 items to get the $5 instant savings.  You get the .50 off each item for the sale and .50 off each item for the electronic coupon (in addition to a FREE package!).  The Double Stuff Oreos work for this too.

Idahoan potato pouches are $1.05 each right now, and if you buy 4 you get a Catalina coupon for $1.00 OYNO.  The great thing is that there's a $1.00 off coupon on the Idahoan Facebook page.  If you have access to TWO computers you can print this twice from each computer - just login to your Facebook account each time.  If you have 4 of these printables you pay .20 and get back $1 turning this into an .80 MM!!

Playtex Gentle Glide tampons are on sale 2/$5 right now (with your Plus card).  If you printed the $2 off manufacturer coupons recently available you can get these for .50 a box.  If you don't have the $2 printable, there's a $1.50 off printable available here making these $1.00 a box.  UPDATE:  There's also a $2.00 off printable over at RedPlum!

Driscoll's raspberries are on sale for $1.00 each - and they are good!  This is a good price for these, get them while they are still in season and freeze them for smoothies or fancy desserts when they are not in season and super expensive.

Don't forget to play the "Kick Off" savings game Tara mentioned here, I already won a FREE bottle of FUZE and a Nabisco "to go" cup!  If you have TWO Plus Cards play for both cards and don't forget you can load coupons on both cards too - just remember to split out into two transactions.

Save Your ConAgra Receipts!

Frugal Tara shared this link with me for $25 in ConAgra coupons when you submit $10 in ConAgra receipts.  This offer will work perfectly with the ConAgra Catalina promo going on at Jewel stores right now so don't throw away those receipts!

Walgreens 10/10 thru 10/16

There's a couple good deals to be had at Wags this week - here's the run down of my transactions today.

Noxzema Disposable razors are on sale for $3.99 each with a $3 RR in return.  There's a $1.00 off coupon in the 8/8 RP to make these FREE after RR, but you can sweeten this deal by checking your stockpile.  If you purchased these not too long ago when they were FREE some packages had $2.00 off coupons inside.  If you were lucky enough to get these, you can open your packages and turn this into a $1.01 MM!  Also, when you buy these look for the packages with the coupons inside.  You can repeat the transaction after you open it and get your $2.00 coupon out.  I actually found one package on the shelf today that someone cut open and just took the coupon out - I know none of my readers would do this, but watch out to be sure you aren't getting one of these opened packages.

Reach Total Care floss is priced at $3.99 with an in-ad coupon for $2.00 off.  Stack the $2.00 off coupon from the 10/10 RP with this store coupon for FREE floss with .01 in overage.  You may also want to check your coupon binder because I had a Catalina coupon for $2.00 off this same Reach floss that I received at Wags last week when I purchased Crest toothpaste.

Halls Refresh are on sale for $1 with a $1 RR - FREE with no coupons needed.  If you use the .75 coupons from either the September or October ALL YOU magazine you can turn this one into a MM also!

Snickers candy bars are .49 each with the in-ad coupon.  There's a B1G1 coupon in the 9/26 RP to get TWO for .49.  If you hand the cashier the manufacturer coupon first and then the store coupon this deal is even better.  She will deduct .70 for the "free" bar on the manufacturer coupon and then register will deduct .80 for the two you are "buying".  Should make these .09 for TWO candy bars or .045 each!

I also picked up some Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup for .59 each with the in-ad coupon - because we needed it!  Not free like I got at Jewel last winter but we are out and it's my son's fave soup - see why it's so important to get as much as you can when its FREE??  This was a good filler for me to roll my RR's from last week so I didn't mind much!

Who Wants to Win a FREE Subway Gift Card?

Each month, Nu-Way Systems Carpet Dyeing & Cleaning mails out a newsletter and has a trivia challenge to win something FREE. If you are one of the first 10 to call with the correct answer you win. The answer to the trivia challenge is usually in the newsletter.

The newsletter arrived in today's mail. If you want a shot at the Subway Gift Card, call 815-765-0005 and tell them the answer to the trivia challenge is "Over $3900.00". The question is: How much money in Referral Rewards Dollars has Nu-Way Systems given out since 2009?  Why not sign up to receive the newsletter while you have them on the phone?   If they ask how you heard about it, just tell them you heard about the newsletter from a friend. This company cleans carpets all over Northern IL so if you live in the general area you should be have a shot at this.

Over the summer, I called and won a gift card to AMC theaters. The best thing is the gift card was for $25.  That $25 gift card got two adults and a very happy child in to see Toy Story 3, and there was enough left over to buy a large popcorn! Our OOP for the movie that day was .75!

Hurry, what are you waiting for?

By the way, we had our carpets cleaned by Nu-Way about 3 years ago and they did a great job! :)

Nivea Lip Balm Price Match Reminder

Since there's so many Nivea coupons out there, I am assuming that some of you might be having a hard time finding enough stock at Wags this week.  I want to remind you that you can take the ad to other stores with a price match promise, like Wal-mart and Target, and get these for FREE there also.  Just bring along your Wags ad before the sale ends on 10/9 and you should have no problems.

Free Merona socks at Target

Actually, you can pick up two pairs of women's Merona dress socks at Target for free. There is a $2 Merona socks and hosiery coupon on Target.com (don't forget to print it twice). There were a whole bunch of socks on sale at my Target on East State Street. These socks were in the sock area with a large sale sign above them. The sign stated only the black one pair packs were $2, but every pair I scanned were the $2 sale price - but still scan yours to be sure.

While you are there Motts apple juice and applesauce 6 packs have a gift card deal running on them. They are buy 5, get a $5 gift card and there is no limit. The juices (including Motts for Tots) are on sale this week for $1.75 for the 64oz bottle and the applesauce 6 packs (natural, cinnamon and regular) are on sale for $1.67 each. After sale and gift card the apple juice is $.75 each and the applesauce $.67 (or $.11 per cup). There were coupons for these on Target.com, but they went fast. If you happened to get one, this deal could be even better.

And Lunchables are on sale for $1 each. There is a $1/2 coupon on Target.com making these $.50 each.

Walgreens 10/3 thru 10/9

Here's my Wags shop for this week:

Nivea lip balm (both tube and stick are included) are on sale for $1 each this week.  You can get these FREE if you use any the following coupons: $2 off 2 from 10/3 RP, $1 off 1 from 10/3 RP (same page as $2 Q), $1 off 1 from September (p. 23) and October (p. 54) ALL YOU magazine or if you were lucky enough to snag the printable coupon for $2 off 2 that was available recently.  I found these lip balm in 3 areas of the store, so if you find the shelf empty look around.  They were in HBA on the shelf by the other Nivea products, over by the pharmacy with the other lip balms and then there was a plastic "fish bowl" type container on the HBA counter by the register.

Schick Hydro Razors are $7.99 with a $4 RR in return.  Use the $4.00 off manufacturer coupon from the 10/3 SS insert and these turn out to be FREE after RR and coupon.  Look for special packages with peelie coupons for a FREE shave cream with purchase.

6.4 oz. tubes of Crest toothpaste are $1.99 with a $1 RR in return.  Use the $1.00 off Crest coupon in the 9/26 PG insert and you will have FREE toothpaste after RR & manufacturer coupon.  Look for bonus tubes with a travel size Crest toothpaste and $10 in coupons inside.

Lastly, if you don't already have enough lip balm you can grab the EOS brand lip balm for $3 and you will get a $3 RR in return making these FREE.  There are two flavors/scents that are part of this promo - Summer Fruit and Honeysuckle Honeydew.

FREE Chex Party Mix Seasoning @ Wal-mart

Next time you are at Wal-mart look for these FREE packets of Chex Party Mix Seasoning - no coupon needed!  At my store they were in the aisle with the special roll back products.  There was a display of Chex cereals and this seasoning was nestled in with the boxes.  I didn't look down the cereal aisle to see if there was more there also.
