Target Changes

The days of overage with coupons at Target are over.  We were out to dinner for my husband's birthday, so I ran in to Target last night to grab a few freebies that I had on my list.  When the cashier scanned all my coupons, every single one of them adjusted down to the price of the item - not one coupon that was for higher than the amount scanned at the face value.  Even the cashier was surprised to see the register adjusting like this because she already knew that my coupons were higher than the values and was prepared to do a manual adjust.  Target must have been working hard on reprogramming the registers to identify overage.  :{  Oh well, overage is a nice gift, but we surely aren't entitled to it, and it was great while it lasted.  FREE is good too.  I just wonder why they don't write that amount on the coupon so that the manufacturers don't reimburse them for the full amount?   It's almost as if Target is taking the overage away from the shopper and keeping it for themselves!

I also noticed that the store that I normally shop at (E. State Street, Rockford, IL) now has the Catalina machines at the registers.  The machine didn't give me any coupons, but I saw the woman in front of me in line get one.   If you are shopping at Target make sure you get all the coupons that print out for you and also make sure the cashier is giving you your credit for using re-useable shopping bags, I have noticed that they tend to forget that!
