*NEW INFO* Using RR's at Wal-mart

Since we have been able to use RR's at Wal-mart (Belvidere, IL) recently, I tried to use a couple when I was there this morning.  The cashier knew nothing about taking them so he had to check with the front end supervisor.  She wasn't sure if they could take them (she was telling me that I could only use one per transaction).  After I went through the whole explaination about them being a manufacturer coupon issued by the manufacturer through Wags, she called the store manager for verification if they could take them.

The store manager, Mike WILL NOT accept them, he claimed that they won't get reimbursed for them (which is incorrect).  I asked for him to come up to the front of the store and I spoke with him directly,  he did not want to listen to anything that I had to say, he already had his mind made up.  I politely told him that since Target and Jewel take them that I will be giving my business to them rather than to Wal-mart and I left with my purchase.

After talking with my frugal friend Melissa, she had a similar experience with the same store manager.  He even tried to tell her that the coupon policy printed right from the Wal-mart website is not their policy and he has the "official" coupon policy but would not allow her to see it or have a copy.

These days the only thing Wal-mart is good for is freebies as far as I am concerned.  To me it's just not worth the hassle to shop there with coupons.

Unfortunately, this store manager does not have the insight to see the big picture about being customer service oriented and changing with the times - with couponing becoming more and more popular, if Wal-mart does not adjust to be more friendly to couponers they will continue to loose more business - they have certainly lost mine.
