I found this really great website while perusing the internet for money saving realted sites. It's called "Still Tasty". Over at Still Tasty you can determine if using a product past the "sell by" or expiration date will be safe. This site also offers food storage tips as well as advice on the proper way to defrost and prepare foods. You can even ask any related questions and get reliable answers there.
This site covers just about anything you wanted to know about food freshness and storage. I see this as being a wonderful tool for those of us who coupon and stock up when the deals are hot so I have added this to the sidebar for quick reference.
